Radiostatic/Radiosilence human/Vampire au

Vox befriended Alastor as a young adult and Alastor found him interesting, so helped get him started with his own business, then disappeared with no warning (for seven? years)

Alastor moves often so he doesn't get found out as a vampire, and so his victims don't get linked to him being in the area. He doesn't usually get attached to humans and likely either forgot about Vox, or just keeps a mild interest in how successful his business got over the years.

Vox on the other hand was VERY attached to Alastor and has been obsessively trying to track down his friend who just upped and disappeared on him. Lots of people died around the time Alastor disappeared, but with no body, he refuses to accept that Alastor was one of them.

After a lot of digging, Vox discovered information on vampires and strongly suspects Alastor of being one, having seen portraits of someone who looks like him from hundreds of years ago. His obsessive search has found evidence Alastor is still alive and hasn't seemed to have aged at all in the years he's been missing.

The Vees met in Uni and now are sharing a house to save on rent. Valentino did Drama, Vox studied business and Velvette was a fashion student.

Valentino is Vox's on and off again bf who is jealous of how obsessed Vox is with a 'friend' he hasn't seen in years. He only met Alastor a handful of times in the past, and they didn't get along. He is also a porn director, who is writing screenplays that are always rejected. He doesn't believe in anything related to the supernatural.

Velvette is their other housemate, who works designing outfits for a local clothing brand. She didn't ever meet Alastor, but wants Vox to find him partly so he'll shut up about him, and partly because she's sure Alastor was doing something sketchy to suddenly dissapear the way she's been told he did. She doesn't really believe in Vampires, but think's Alastor and probably his whole family were in a shady cult.

Sir Pentious is a very old Vampire, who keeps mostly to himself and is very rarely seen. He is someone who helped teach Alastor how to survive as a vampire when he was first turned, and Alastor repaid him by trying to kill him, so now the two have a weird rivalry. Pentious occasionally finds Alastor to try to get revenge, but Alastor no longer cares about him at all, and usually humiliates him before they go their separate ways again.

Niffty is another Vampire, she's very old but was turned at a younger age, making her appearance and mannerisms come across as very eccentric and quirky. She doesn't try to fit in with humans half the time, and embraces being chaotic, she's lived too long to be self conscious about what people think of her. She often finds Alastor to hang out and go hunting together because she finds him fun to be around.

Rosie is a human from a small town with a well kept secret. When she caught Alastor feeding off one of his victims she incorrectly assumed he was engaging in cannibalism, and Alastor didn't correct her. So he went along with her to let her cut up and cook the body, and found out there was a thriving Cannibal community in this small town.

The two of them remained friends, and eventually, Rosie learnt the truth of what Alastor was, and accepted it. She occasionally helps assist Husk with things they need help with since she leads a normal stable life and can do things without getting caught more easily. In return, Alastor has Husk bring her the bodies of his victims when they are in a nearby area.

I think Jacqui would've been a way more intresting character if they made Kuai Liang her uncle figure.

They already imply/hint that he and Jax are friends and that Subz suported Jacqui when she wanted to join Special Forces. They could have made her a honorary lin kuei. She isnt a clan member but she is sometimes training with them. Maybe Jax trusted Kuai enough to let him train his daughter. She could've had a sisterly bond with Frost. And it would Also make her relationship with Takeda a bit more complex and intresting (i just realised we dont even know how Takeda feels about the lin kuei, so his could be a way to explore that).

And with that, Kuai and Jax can interact cuz they deserve to be friends.

Sarah is growing up and starts to get more vain with herself, and tommy notices she's having a hard time with her hair. So after he picks up the girls from school for joel, tommy leads all of them to the salon and that's where they meet maria. Man just imagine maria giving sarah all the tips for her hair and trying different hair styles🥺Maria focusing on braiding sarah's hair and trying to ignore all of tommy's flirt attempts lmao. And cute little ellie asking for braids too awwwwwwwww

we LOVE hairstylist maria over here!!!! i could’ve sworn i made a hairdresser au already where tommy takes sarah to salons and maria teaches her to do her hair but i cant find it 😭😭😭

i do imagine that as sarah grows up past like 4-5 and realizes her hair is different from most people around her, she’d be less vain and more self-conscious (i really doubt you meant vain in that way so don’t worry about it, im just sensitive to language regarding black little girls and their hair). austin texas in the 1990s-2000s was only about 10% percent which isnt bad, but i know from growing up in a predominantly white area that it heavily impacted how i saw myself and my hair.

i LOVE the idea that tommy and joel would put extra effort, as much as they could, into making sure sarah’s hair is loved and taken care of. i love the idea that maybe they start taking her to the salon as soon as she’s old enough, like 3-4, to sit in a chair long enough to get herself and her hair pampered

so here’s some actual plot: maybe sarah has a regular hair stylist that she’s gone to since she was literally 2, mama shirley (HEY MAMA SHIRLEY LETS BRING U INTO ANOTHER AU). unfortunately mama shirley is getting older, her hands not as agile and quick as they used to be, and she tells the miller boys that she’s planning to retire soon. they’re both pretty anxious about it because sarah like routine and sameness, and getting her hair done is already enough of a feat for her with all her sensory issues, which mama shirley always accommodates for. luckily, mama shirley assures them she’s found a brilliant replacement that’s she’s been training for months

when sarah meets maria, it’s like the little girl is meeting an in real life princess. maria has long, long, long locs that go all the way to the back of her knees, some streaked blue and purple and pink—all sarah’s favorites. maria has gentle hands and rounded nails that feel good when they scratch at sarah’s scalp in the washbowl, just like mama shirley’s. she has a whole punch of stim toys and fun charms on her locs, necklaces, and bracelets that she lets sarah reach up and play with while she works.

she talks to joel and tommy about their life with her and how she’s doing in school and how they take care of her hair at home, making gentle suggestions here and their based on her own experiences growing up as a black girl in a predominantly white area—fuckin’ omaha, nebraska. she lets joel and tommy step in and try whatever she’s doing with sarah’s hair. tommy, bless him, is so nervous and into her that his hands are way clumsier than usual. luckily, his poor attempts just make her laugh and place her hands next his to show him how to smooth out sarah’s hair correctly, without flicking the product all over himself and his shirt

she remains sarah’s hairstylist for years, and tommy falls in love with her slowly at first, considering he only really sees her once every four weeks. eventually he starts going in for his own hair, then offers to do free repairs for the salon—then, finally, maria pulls him into the back room one day and says “ya know, miller, you don’t have to work here to spend time with me. you can just ask me out.”

“i—i can?”

“you can. you’ve taken long enough.”

“i—uh. alright. sorry to keep you waitin’, ma’am. dinner? tonight?”

“dinner sounds good :)”

So, yet another AU has come, uninvited, into my brain and is refusing to leave. It's a fun one, but I didn't plan it. So expect some form of content for Sin!Lucifer AU. Aka, what the fandom thought he'd be like before the series aired.

This is very much his Vibe. He still loves his daughter, but doesn't want the hotel to succeed.

He's all about encouraging sin, and for sinners to do what they desire. Hell is a place he makes a reward for those who challenged the rules and authority like he did.

Lillith was the one who enforced order and inspired people, but she's gone. So now he's doubling down on his version of what hell should be like.

Well I have been writing a series of notes for a potential Francis in OFMD universe(Eb is in this universe too but it is after they separated leaving Francis extremely bitter about it and bent more toward his brutality. A parallel to Blackbeard post Stede). I didn't mean to do anything with all this but I have a story where Francis met Ned Low in a one shot just to see what happened and they... hit it off really well which suprised me. (More on Francis end, Ned was a flustered mess just excited to meet someone with similar taste in music and... other facinations...)

Then I read this...

Fuck. The real Ned Low had a friend named Francis and they were close for awhile. Now I have to do something with these notes eventually- shit, its hauntingly accurate.

Did I mention Francis signature is setting ships on fire with its crew held aboard? What similar to Ned's blend of music and torment, Francis plays a violin in exchange of his pianoforte to the screams off it as the ship sinks...

I'm not sure I will write it entirely(I have too many AUs dammit!) but the idea keeps returning to me. I have set art ideas for it but I can share a short plotline that started from a one shot in my drafts where Francis and Ned meet while on dock one night at the Republic of pirates. Ned is drawn to the beautiful music of a violin along the pier coming from a beautiful ship. A tune so well played and unfamiliar in quality normally found around pirates. Ned grabs his violin and rushes flustered to join this stranger which he is welcomes to and they continue the song. They play well and even share a conversation, all where it leads to why Francis is there having to clean up what his crew could not. He's looking for someone as Ned remarks the same thing. Ned goes pale; however, as he discovers its the same man as a wanted poster is thrown at his feet to see its Blackbeard. Same man but different reasons that intertwine, Ned for revenge of his record being broken and Francis for his 30 freight ships under his corsair contract Blackbeard seiged in order to break it. Francis is also looking for Stede Bonnet, someone Ned doesn't recognize or really care to but he obliges for the assistance in tracking Ed down.

Then months later, as the story direction is changed for this, Francis finds Stede adrift in his dingy lost at sea and rescues him- or so Stede thinks...

Against Stede's ruse of a fake name, Francis on approach, knows exactly who Stede really is; however, alike how when he met Ned low, Francis is using Stede just as much as he is using Ned to find the Revenge. Ned, who Francis treats much like a pet ironically, happily goes along with whatever Francis tells him because he feels he weilds more influence than he truly does in this arrangement, all whilst Francis picks at Stede's mind to pull information about himself, his ship, everything that fascinates him about this odd bird at sea. What Francis uses all his skills at his disposal to retrieve, including his knowledge of mixing custom pharmaceuticals blends to fit his needs from his days as a refined surgeon.

When he's not using concoctions, Francis, being a man masterful at manipulation, one seethingly charming and well cultured from his wonderous explorations that streched far beyond his days permanently at sea, works like a charm on Stede. Stede who is immediently drawn to that comfort zone of aristocraic behavior while being more so put at ease with how kind and generous Francis is to him. Since Stede was rescued, Francis has provided him the nice cloths he longed for and treats him to fine dining, whatever Stede wants essentially... except to leave. Not that Francis has openly stopped him, more an alluded persuasion if Stede gets restless; "Why would you want to muck it out there isolated and all alone? You could run into anyone out there... Someone that could seriously hurt you if you crossed them... Just think what could have happened had I not found you first barely clinging to your dear sweet life... There's alot of dangerous men out there..."

While Stede truly believe Francis is trying to help him reunite with his crew, Stede isn't completely daft. He is wary and picks up somerhijgs not quite right as he tries to be careful what he shares, at least about Ed. He's mainly worried where all this generosity could lead and remains guarded but polite because... he's also despirate with no other options. He pacifies Francis as much as he can for now yet Stede doesn't realize just what he's gotten himself into and with who... What will all come to a head when Francis meets back up with Ned one night to celebrate their crews reunion with own twisted version of Calypso's birthday that make Francis intentions become abit more clear to Stede when the ruse is dropped completely.

Meanwhile with Ned back, Ned sees all this and knows the plan, but he's too jealous and spiteful by how Francis fawns over Stede. How Francis always keeping Stese so close. Ned wanted that to be him. Them... Ned has finally found someone who 'understands him' and will be damned if some minor rich boy playing pirate takes that from him while Stede would love to actively assure him how incorrect he is and how badly he wants to leave.

While all this happening, Ed learns what is going on and who Stede has been seen with as they have monitored the ship from the security of distance in night travels. What, thanks to Izzy, who knows all too well what the dread Black King Osman is capable of, knows just how much danger Stede is in. Ed now sets his bitter resentment from Stede leaving him aside and sails to London. He is heavily outmatched in means to attack Francis on his own, but with a well placed raid along the Thames River, he plans to level that playing field with a counteraction of his own capture.
